POLISHED UNTREATED BRASS
Polished Untreated Brass will initially look bright and vibrant but over time this will patina and shows signs of darkening and ageing like untreated brass. 
Patination is caused by moisture and oxygen in the air and is a natural reaction to untreated Brass.
Should you wish to brighten the brass and take it back to its new polished look then a simple polish with brass cleaner will bring back the shine.
